Chris Busby

Chris Busby – ‘Buzz’ was first employed by Brasted’s in 1996 as Sous Chef at The Restaurant on St Andrews Hill, Norwich and quickly progressed to head chef at the age of 29. His natural ability and organisational skills made him a valuable member of the team and as such was instrumental in the quick expansion of The Company. In 1999 Buzz moved on to London to progress his career in other catering establishments ultimately gaining a valued reputation for setting up new businesses within the Industry.

His receptive mind means he’s constantly seeking ways to improve and excite his already extensive repertoire which is based on British & European dishes. Buzz’s passion for locally sourced produce & orderly neatness is reflected throughout his kitchen and the dishes he presents. This, coupled with inbuilt food artistry, helps makes Brasted’s what it is today, - unique in all aspects of food presentation and delivery.

Buzz is now recognised as one of East Anglia’s top chefs; he was Norfolk Chef of the Year 2005 and his restaurant has won the coveted title of Norfolk Restaurant of the Year 2005, 2006 & 2010. He dedicates much of his time mentoring the new talent of Norfolk. In October 2008 he became a Director & significant Shareholder.
